The companies’ creation of a new “Media Archive AI” solution, powered by Google Cloud, will help media and entertainment companies discover, catalog, and optimize the value of archival footage

NAB SHOW, LAS VEGAS – April 14, 2024 – Globant (NYSE: GLOB), a digitally native company focused on reinventing businesses through innovative technology solutions, and Quickplay, a leader in cloud transformations of OTT experiences for Pay TV, Telcos and MVPDs, today announced their collaboration to help OTT providers optimize the value of archival media footage to drive viewer engagement and monetization across the telecom and media & entertainment industries.

The two companies are partnering to develop a new solution package, “Media Archive AI,” that harnesses advanced machine learning and generative AI technology to expedite deeper integration of historical footage within live and on-demand content. The solution is intended to combine the companies’ core strengths with the power of Google Cloud to enable development of new use cases that expand OTT providers’ content offerings.

Media and entertainment companies globally are seeking to increase the availability and discoverability of digital assets. Globant and Quickplay are enabling them to implement AI-driven consolidation, migration, and management of physical assets, as well as deep and automated search capabilities that can unlock value and create new business opportunities, including FAST channels and syndication to affiliates.

“Media and entertainment companies are facing an increased need to accelerate their time-to-market, create new revenue streams, become more efficient, and engage customers with new capabilities and offerings. Through our collaboration with award-winning industry expert Quickplay, we will create new solutions designed to solve these most pressing business challenges,” said Diego Tartara, Global Chief Technology Officer at Globant.
